Membership

SHCH is here to serve and minister to the homeschooling families of primarily Hillsborough and Manatee Counties. We offer a monthly Support Group Meetings to encourage homeschool parents as they venture on their journey to educate their children at home. The moms meet for coffee once a month to fellowship with each other.

We have an active group. We meet for park days twice a month. We have monthly member activities that include field trips, group and family activities. We also are blessed with an active teen group for your children too.

We are here to serve the homeschool community. Please contact us to let us know how we can serve you.

Membership is not required but has its benefits. Our field trips and activities are specifically for members only. We welcome you to join our group at any time during the year. We welcome all members to join in and help, however, we do not require your participation in events or in volunteering.

Membership is $30 paid annually. Typically we have a kick-off event in August/September to mark our new school year. This event marks our new membership yearas well. Your $30 goes towards making these events successful. Your membership also includes membership into the FPEA (when submitted prior to March 1st of each year), our state homeschool organization. It is our desire to support them with 100% membership participation of our group. That membership is $18 of the $30. So SHCH uses your $12 for operation of the website, events and facility usage.

HEF is the Home Education Foundation. HEF was established in 1991 to raise support and direct lobbying for home education in Florida. HEF exists to safeguard existing legislation and evaluate future legislation. Please consider supporting the efforts of HEF with a separate check.
